Chateau de Noisy

This abandoned Castle left to rot away in the middle of a forest is just what any Urban Explorer could dream of...

The "Chateau de Noisy" or "Chateau de Miranda" was first used as a farming house, but a nearby feudal castle was left by it's owners during the French revolution and they turned the farm into this gigantic house/castle.
Inbetween the two World Wars, the castle was renamed "Home de Noisy" and was used as a holiday camp for the children of the "SNCB" railway workers. You can still find some papers inside the castle that state of some of the activities of these camps.
In 1991 the "Chateau de Noisy" was abandoned, most likely because of a fire that destroyed some parts of the castle. Since then it is slowly falling appart.
The place is in pretty bad shape, with collapsed floors all around, which makes exploring quite dangerous. This might be the reason why the location is being guarded by rangers who use the courtyard as some sort of basecamp.
